DontMynd

Connect DontMynd to Claude & ChatGPT

DontMynd is a calm weekly planner for the tasks only you own: this week, next week, and the backlog, plus the tags you use to organize them. This connector lets Claude & ChatGPT read and change that board when you ask it to. You need a DontMynd account. The connector works on the free plan.

The connector URL is the root of the MCP server, not this page:

https://mcp.dontmynd.com/

https://mcp.dontmynd.com/api/mcp is an older alias of the same server. Paste the root URL above. This page, https://www.dontmynd.com/mcp, is the guide.

Connect in Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors. On newer Claude layouts the same screen is Customize → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it DontMynd and paste https://mcp.dontmynd.com/. Leave the OAuth client id and secret blank. DontMynd registers the client for you.
  4. Choose Add, then Connect. Sign in on the DontMynd page with Google or your email and password.

Claude’s Free plan can add one custom connector. If you already use that slot, remove the other connector or use a paid Claude plan.

Connect in ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, choose the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Older layouts use Settings → Apps → Create.
  2. Name it DontMynd. Under Connection, paste https://mcp.dontmynd.com/.
  3. Choose OAuth and leave any client id or secret blank.
  4. Acknowledge the warning, create the plugin, and sign in when ChatGPT asks.

Custom connectors in ChatGPT follow your account or workspace rules. Some workspaces only let an admin add them.

What you can ask

Tools

The server exposes these 12 tools. Read tools do not change your board. Creating, completing, and moving are writes. Updating and deleting are marked destructive, so Claude asks you to confirm before those run.

list_tasks
List tasks, filtered by location (this week, next week, backlog, or past week), week id, tag name, or completion. Returns one page (default 50, maximum 200) plus has_more and next_cursor.
get_task
Get a single task by id, including its tag name.
list_tags
List all tags (name, color, and id) available for organizing tasks.
get_week_info
Get the current and next week ids and their date ranges.
create_task
Create a task in this week, next week, or the backlog, optionally with an existing tag. It is added at the end of that list.
update_task
Update a task’s title, description, or tag. An empty tag removes the tag.
complete_task
Mark a task completed, or not completed.
move_task
Move a task to this week, next week, or the backlog. Its week is updated to match.
delete_task
Permanently delete a task by id.
create_tag
Create a new tag for organizing tasks.
update_tag
Rename a tag or change its color.
delete_tag
Permanently delete a tag by name. Tasks that had the tag are kept and become untagged.

Access

Connecting grants the OAuth scope tasks. In plain words, the assistant can read, create, change, complete, move, and delete your own DontMynd tasks and tags. It cannot see anyone else’s board. DontMynd does not read your Claude or ChatGPT conversations. The assistant receives only the tool results for the requests it makes.

Sign-in uses OAuth with PKCE. The access token is your DontMynd session. The assistant can refresh it until you disconnect or the session can no longer be refreshed.

Revoke access

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors (or Settings → Connectors), choose DontMynd, and disconnect.

In ChatGPT, remove the DontMynd plugin from Plugins, or turn it off under Settings → Apps.

DontMynd does not keep a separate list of connected assistants. To remove the account the connector is signed into, delete your account from Settings on dontmynd.com. That deletes your tasks and tags. Disconnect the connector in Claude or ChatGPT as well: changing your DontMynd password updates the password, and it does not by itself take a refresh token away from an assistant that already has one.

Data handling

Task and tag data is stored in DontMynd’s database and limited to your account with row-level security. When you use the connector, the data the assistant asks for is sent to that assistant and then handled under its provider’s terms and privacy policy. The details of what DontMynd collects, how long it is kept, and how to delete your account are in the privacy policy.
